Vinca minor ‘Alba’ (White periwinkle) is an evergreen groundcover. The properties are almost the same as those of the lesser periwinkle (Vinco minor). The big difference is the color of the flowers, which are white for Vinca minor ‘Alba’. This plant is 20 cm tall and has small foliage (3 to 4 cm in length). Vinca minor ‘Alba’ is very hardy and grows on almost any surface.
During dry periods, it is necessary to give the white periwinkle additional water. Vinca minor flowers very early in the spring with beautiful white flowers 2.3 to 3 cm in diameter. The pruning of this species is not necessary in principle, but it brings better branching of the plant.
