hipsalis pilocarpa is the name of a species of epiphytic and succulent plant, endemic to Brazil, and belonging to the cactus family and genus Rhipsalis (which includes about 60 species and many subspecies)
It is considered by the IUCN as vulnerable, threatened by the regression, degradation or disappearance of its habitat (humid tropical forest).
