Rhipsalis elliptica is the name of a species of epiphytic and succulent plant, endemic to Brazil, and belonging to the cactus family and genus Rhipsalis (which includes about 60 species and many subspecies)
It is threatened by the regression, degradation or disappearance of its habitat (humid tropical forest).
