The leaves are rather small (9 cm long by 1.5 cm wide) but numerous. The foliage is always shiny and fresh. Medium green then olive green, its culms change very little color as they age. It is a bamboo that needs space to flourish, but disciplined by pruning, it can fit comfortably in a pot.
