Epiphyllum is a botanical genus of epiphytic plant species belonging to the Cactaceae family, the cacti, native to Central America.
It is also called Epicactus (Epiphyllum hybrid) or Orchid cactus (Epiphyllum crenatum) or Leaf cactus, although the latter belongs to the genus Pereskia. The Christmas cactus (Schlumbergera) is sometimes incorrectly called Epiphyllum.
