Oxalis triangularis, the triangular oxalis is a plant of the genus Oxalis of the family Oxalidaceae. Native to South America, it is known elsewhere in the world for its purple-leaved cultivars; it then bears the name of purple wood sorrel.
The species was first described by Saint Hilaire, in Flora Brasiliae meridionalis in 1825.
