Leucospermum reflexum, the rocket pincushion is a species of shrub belonging to the Protea groups, i.e. to the large and fascinating Proteaceae family. Leucospermum reflexum is native to coastal scrubland in South Africa, growing near waterways. It is a Proteaceae which flowers in the summer, enjoying wet winters with little frost, supporting dry summers.
The rocket pincushion is therefore cultivable outdoors in the Mediterranean climate, or in the mildest oceanic climates.
