False jasmine (Trachelospermum jasminoides) is a climbing plant of the Apocynaceae family, native to Asia. It bears many other vernacular names: trachelosperm, star jasmine, Indian jasmine. This evergreen vine is grown in gardens in mild climates, but can withstand temperatures down to around -10°C.
