Jacinthe

Hyacinthus is a genus of bulbous plants, formerly classified in the Liliaceae family and which designates the true species of hyacinths (to distinguish them from species of squill). This genus is now part of the Asparagaceae family. The name comes from Greek mythology: Hyacinthe was accidentally killed by the god Apollo, who then transformed the drops of blood into flowers.

These plants are native to Southwest Asia (Iran, Turkmenistan).
