Calathea roseopicta, the pink painted calathea, is a species of plant in the Marantaceae family, native to northwestern Brazil. It is an evergreen perennial forming clumps up to 50 cm (20 in), very similar in appearance to Calathea makoyana. The large, rounded leaves are dark green above, red below, heavily marked with cream or pink “painted” stripes along the veins and belly, with feathery margins.
