Lavandula Angustifolia

Lavender officinalis, true lavender or narrow-leaved lavender (Lavandula angustifolia Mill.) is a species of subshrub in the Lamiaceae family. It is a plant that is appreciated for its smell. It is the most appreciated of the lavenders for the olfactory quality of its essential oil. In the wild, it grows mainly in Provence but it can be cultivated in more northern regions, especially since there are many cultivars.
