Crocosmia

Crocosmia is a genus of herbaceous plants in the family Iridaceae. It contains 13 species of different colors.
Crocosmia can be persistent or deciduous. They grow from underground corms.

The alternate leaves are cauline and distichous. The leaves are linear or lanceolate.

The corms are unusual in forming vertical chains with the youngest at the top and the oldest and tallest buried deeper in the ground.
