Kiwifruit (Actinidia arguta), also called Siberian kiwifruit or summer kiwifruit, is a climbing plant of the Actinidiaceae family, native to the Far East, cultivated for its edible fruits. The term, still little known, also refers to the fruit of this plant.
The kiwi is a relative of the kiwi, used in the pharmacopoeia of the Chinese Empire.
