This horticultural hybrid is the result of successive crosses over 2 generations: (S. leucophylla x S. purpurea) x S. leucophylla.
This plant is the typical example of “aesthetic” hybridization. Not existing in nature, the crossings to obtain it were carried out in order to keep only certain characters (color, shape, specific characters…).
