The Calathea Crocata Candela is native to South America and Central America. This rhizomatous plant has evergreen foliage forming a clump with erect leaves. These oblong leaves, of a beautiful dark green on the top, are striated in the direction of the vein. They have a purple color on the reverse. When flowering, this plant offers compact spikes of orange or yellow colored bracts.
